Is an RTS installation more expensive than a traditional wiring installation?
No, because you save on the costs of wiring and keep the interior decoration of a house undisturbed.
Why should I opt for motorisation?
You save time and money. Time, because you no longer have to move heavy crank handles or manually raise heavy blinds. Money, because you can save considerable heating and cooling costs with automated shutters, blinds and awnings. Motorised shutters are also significantly more secure against break-ins than roller shutters operated using a pulley, for example. You can close the motorised products individually, all together or in a specific area of your house.
Do I need to motorise everything at once?
No, you can start with a large window with a heavy roller blind for example, and then add motorisation to other blinds, awnings or shutters later on. Almost All of this is possible thanks to our radio technology. This can be used to retrofit and expand your installation at any time, by adding new applications and functions as time goes by.
Can I motorise my blinds without having to renovate my entire house?
Of course! The Somfy Radio Technology Somfy means you don’t need any cable between the motor and control switch. This is a simple and clean solution.
Could I lose the parameters I have programmed if a power cut occurs?
No. The memory is designed so that all the settings are retained when there is a power failure.
I have a wired installation. Can I upgrade it?
Yes. It’s very easy to modernize your system and replace it with Somfy RTS technology to enable centralized operation of your automated systems. And if you like, you can operate all of this using a remote control, for even more freedom.
Do I need to replace all my roller blinds when I want to install motorised ones?
No. Motorised solutions from Somfy can be fitted to new and old roller blinds (providing that the existing tube is big enough).
Can I motorise my existing gate or garage door?
Yes, it’s very simple to motorise all your existing gates or garage doors.
